Mike Blumenthal most recently has been responsible for developing the marketing plan and technical documentation for RapidWeb. He has over 25 years experience in the computer, imaging & internet industries and is a technology consultant to many of the area's businesses. He has an extensive background in system design, computer graphics and digital photography. Prior to joining his family business he was an instructor for an outdoor wilderness training school, N.O.L.S., in Africa, Alaska and Wyoming.

While he is proud of his business accomplishments, he is prouder of his children, Abby & Aaron,and his wife, Darlene.

In his spare time he works on local development issues, experiments with nature photography, virtual photography & digital slideshows, reads, cooks, gardens, goes on daily walks with his wife, Darlene and takes the occasional piano lesson. Even though he lives in snow country, he rarely shovels snow as an extracurricular activity. He is of the belief that if Mother Nature put it there then it is her job to deal with it. Surprisingly, this strategy works well most of the time. This same thinking led him to his current experiment, he is attempting to see if an 1 1/2 acre lawn can be converted into a low maintenance perennial garden.
