Efferdent Challenge!

*Let me preface this by saying you should never try experimental cleaning on a garment unless it is an extra. If the experiment goes awry, you should be ready to grin and say, "Oh well!". Then share it with others who might want to try the same test!

Before: Gold Go Round

Left Photo = Front; Small red stain on front. Very dingy, but the gold is still bright and yellowish.

Right Photo = Back; Along right side is a very dirty streak which doesn't show up well in the photo.

After: Front & Back pictured below.

Results: White part was brightened a little, but the gold threads were stripped of color. The bodice gold became transparent and the rings on the skirt were on their way to a transparent condition. The gold trim and straps were not affected.

OH WELL!

NOTE: In a previous attempt at cleaning Gold Go Round with Twin Pines products, I got mixed results with two tests:

The first test was with "Perk" and the results were great. Nice white skirt and no harm to the gold threads.

The second test was with "Perk" and "Boost" and the results were not so good. The "Boost" turned the gold threads to silver, but did not strip them to transparency like the Efferdent did.
